Consignment Selling

If you have a  picture or print that you are looking to sell and want to make use of our responsive client base to do so, your pictures can be consigned for re-sale through the website. This is a very straightforward way for you to sell your work without the unpredictability of an auction house or an online auction website. We will deal with all of the customer enquiries and keep you fully updated with regular sales-progress reports. To use this service we simply require the following information about the artwork. If you are unsure of any of the details upload as much of the information as you can and we will look into the rest.

Please note this service is NOT for artist submissions. It is for clients looking to sell collectible prints on the secondary market such as Banksy, Invader, Faile, JR and other similar artists to those sold already through this gallery.

  1. Upload three high resolution images of the artwork that you are looking to sell. Alternatively If the work has not been photographed it can be left with us and we can arrange to have it shot at no extra charge.
  2. Full confirmation of provenance is required as Hang-Up is not authorised to provide provenance on pieces we do not own ourselves.
  3. A member of the Hang-Up team will then be in touch with whom you can agree on the accurate marketing price for your picture.
  4. We will market your work in the New Work section of the site and depending on the piece it may also feature on the monthly newsletter to our opt in database of over 7000 opt in subscribers.
  5. You do not have to leave the artwork with us whilst it is being marketed through Hang-Up, only when it is sold will we ask for it. At that point you are required to forward it to our London office where we check authenticity and condition and assuming requirements are met it will be carefully packaged and sent onto the buyer.
  6. The buyer pays directly into our client account through a secure server on the website. Seven days after the buyer receives his new artwork from Hang-Up and has confirmed that he is happy the money is then transferred to your account with a BACS payment. A 20% handling and marketing charge is taken from the final sales price. On works over £2500 this fee is negotiable. This amount is deducted from the final transfer.
